Dear Sorors,
Two years ago, I had the honor of running for the position of Southern Regional Representative to the International Nominating Committee, guided by a commitment to servant leadership and advocacy for our region. I am proud to report that these principles have remained at the core of my work throughout my tenure.
As your current Southern Regional Representative, I have worked diligently to fulfill my duties while also contributing to the advancement of our organization in several impactful ways. Some of the key highlights of my service thus far include:
• Orchestrating the first “Elevating Extraordinary Leaders” webinar in December 2023,
an initiative designed to spotlight and elevate the voices of outstanding leaders within our region who previously served at our sisterhood’s highest level. This event not only provided a platform for valuable discussions but also fostered a deeper sense of community and leadership development.
• Moderating the International Campaign Forums, where I facilitated conversations that encouraged collaboration and transparency among our members, ensuring that our electoral processes remain inclusive and accessible to all sorors.
• Co-organizing and co-leading the Joint Southern and Midwestern Region Campaign Forum, an event that brought together sorors from both regions to engage in meaningful dialogue, promote unity, and share strategies for success in our collective growth and leadership.
• Serving as the lead representative to the Campaign Reform Sub-committee, where I have worked tirelessly to advocate for much-needed reforms to streamline and improve our nominating processes, ensuring they remain fair, transparent, and equitable for all members.
With the support and guidance of our region, I have worked to ensure that our voice is heard, our values are upheld, and our future is shaped by the principles of transparency and inclusivity.
As I seek re-election for another term, I humbly ask for your continued prayers, support, and vote. Should I be entrusted with another two years of service, I remain committed to building upon this momentum. My promise is to continue advocating for the Southern Region, lead with precision and integrity, and ensure that the nominating process remains transparent, clear, and representative of the values that bind us together as Sorors.
